I Did A Thing: The Evolution of The Weight of Words.

Thought you should know something about me…
So. I have a newsletter now.
Let me explain.
( I know what you’re thinking)😝
“Everyone and their mother has a newsletter. Not you too??”
Yes. Me too! And I’d love for you to subscribe.
Not in a "please subscribe, or I'll cry" way. More of a "I built something I actually believe in, and I want you to know it exists" way.
It's called ⚖️The Weight of Words⚖️ and yes, I named it that on purpose.
You see, words aren't neutral. They carry the weight of history, intention, and personality. Words can land like a feather or hit like a rock, and when and how those words land can mean everything for anyone building a personal brand.
They can make someone feel seen or completely invisible. And most of the copy floating around the internet right now? It's doing a lot of the latter.
I created ⚖️The Weight of Words⚖️ because I got tired of content copy that sounds like it was written by a very confident robot who took one marketing course.
I wanted a space for the other stuff, like the nuance, the strategy, the "wait, why does this ad actually work?" conversation that nobody seems to be having out loud.
🌟Every issue is for people who think about how they communicate, not just what they say. Founders. Creatives. People who are in transition and pivoting into someone new. Anyone who's ever stared at their own bio or website and thought that's not quite me.
I take a deep dive into how marketing is interwoven into everyday life, even if you’re not in marketing.
If that sounds like your people, it probably is.
There’s no fluff, no "this ONE trick will 10x your engagement." Just honest writing about words, voice, and the work of building something real on and offline.
It’s ok. You can go ahead & subscribe. It’s Free. → The Weight of Words with Aliya Banks
